I came back in Moieciu de Sus,

Where the exhaustion felt running there at the EcoMarathon is, indeed, transformed into a sweet memory: scented meadows, a warm spring sun, cows grazing around, locals busy with everyday chores, the quiet of a village from another time, the murmur of the flowing water, the blue sky I admired at that time. Nowhere have I been sleeping so well before a race, as it was in Moieciu! Running on the clover petals, one loop after another, and then at some point returning in the center of the village where so many directions start, I enjoyed beautiful views and felt like I was starting a new journey.

In my mind, as usual a thousand thoughts to keep my company, the miles go faster than I imagined, like the sound of a song, the only moment of awareness that I live. Then  the Finish line, a long run already completed, … in a moment … like a sparkle, and immediately extinguished. Happiness for victory, but also a little regret for something so beautiful that it’s over. Nothing will be the same … we can only hope it will be even better.

Tornerò a Moieciu, dove la fatica provata nel corrervi la maratona, si è davvero trasformata in un ricordo dolcissimo..

Distese di prati profumati d’erba.. un caldo sole primaverile.. mucche al pascolo.. gente indaffarata in faccende quotidiane.. la tranquillità di un villaggio d’altri tempi.. il rumore dell’acqua che scorre nel fiume.. l’azzurro di un cielo che si fa ammirare da sempre.

Non ho mai dormito così bene prima di una gara, come a Moieciu!

Correre sui petali del trifoglio, uno alla volta.. tornando alla piazza da direzioni sempre diverse, dopo aver goduto di panorami bellissimi.. dopo aver fatto un’altro viaggio tutto mio.

Nella mia mente i soliti mille pensieri a farmi compagnia, i km che passano più in fretta immaginando il suono di una canzone, la consapevolezza di vivere momenti solo miei.

Poi l’arrivo.. una gara lunga ma già finita, in un lampo.. come un incendio divampato e presto spento.

La felicità per la vittoria, ed il solito piccolo rimpianto per una cosa bella che finisce.

Nulla sarà mai uguale.. possiamo solo sperare possa essere migliore.

A Moieciu!

Saper correre è un’arte.

Oltre la competizione per il conseguimento del risultato sportivo c’è l’arte di saper correre, questa sapienza è una dote che unisce una vasta e assimilata conoscenza delle cose con la capacità e l’equilibrio di vedere il mondo che circonda. Questo è il pensiero che accompagna il Team Valetudo nelle varie trasferte che ogni anno abbiamo la fortuna di poter affrontare. Questa Ecomarathon di Moieciu de Sus 2014 per noi del Valetudo team è “la terza partecipazione consecutiva”, e anno dopo anno aspettiamo questa gara con grande interesse, l’Ecomarathon è un’ottimo test internazionale d’inizio stagione agonistica sulla classica distanza della marathon di 42 chilometri con un dislivello complessivo importante. Oltre il rilevante aspetto sportivo dell’ Ecomarathon per le categorie Senior è piacevole e incoraggiante osservare il grande impegno di tutti gli organizzatori volontari per allestire le varie competizioni per le categorie giovanili e osservare l’appassionato impegno dei ragazzi e delle loro famiglie, questo fatto è un grosso premio umanistico per tutte le persone adulte presenti alla spettacolare festa del running di montagna di Moieciu. Per noi del Valetudo team ritornare a Moieciu è paragonabile ad un’attrazione fatale è molto coinvolgente l’accoglienza amichevole e il calore umano che tutto lo staff organizzativo dell’Ecomarathon ci riserva, poi l’ Ecosistema di questa incantevole zona della Romania fà il resto, vi garantisco che trascorrere un fine settimana qui a Moieciu de Sus ti riempie il cuore di relax e spensieratezza. Termino ringraziando i grandi atleti Rumeni che hanno vestito la canotta del Valetudo International team, per spirito di cavalleria cito prima le ragazze: Andreea Zinca, Gainariu Iulia, Zinca Ionut, Szabolcs Gyorgy, Vlad Florin Danut, Milea Radu.

‘Running is an art.

Beyond the competition for the sporting result, there is the art of running; this thought is a gift that unites a vast and acquired ability to know things with the balance of seeing the world around.

This is the thought with which the Valetudo Team starts in the various journeys that we luckily make every year. EcoMarathon Moieciu de Sus, in 2014, is for us the third consecutive participation, year after year we anticipate this race with great interest. The EcoMarathon is an ideal international test at the start of the season, with the classical distance of 42 kilometers and an important denivelation. Beyond the relevant sporty aspect of the competitive races, it is always nice and encouraging to see the efforts of all the organizers and volunteers to prepare the competitions for children – EcoKids to observe the passion and joy of children and of their families – in fact, it is a great reward given of all the participants present at this spectacular feast of the mountain running in Moieciu de Sus. For us, the Valetudo team, the return to Moieciu de Sus is an incredible attraction, determined by the reception, the friendship and the warmth that the EcoMarathon organizers offer us.

Then, the ecosystem and natural environment of this charming area of ​​Romania complements the rest of the picture, and I guarantee that a weekend in Moieciu de Sus will fill your heart of relaxation and drive away all your thoughts. Thanks to the great Romanian athletes who wore the Valetudo International Team markings: Andreea Zinca, Iulia Găinariu, Ionut Zinca, Szabolcs Gyorgy, Vlad Florin Danuţ, Radu Milea.
